P0087 indicates that measured fuel pressure is lower than commanded or required.
A weak pump, restricted filter, pressure-control fault, fuel leak, sensor issue, or high-pressure system problem may be involved.

Weak fuel pump
The low- or high-pressure pump may not provide sufficient delivery.

Incorrect rail-pressure data may falsely indicate low pressure.
